Are You Prepared for What is Coming?

Readiness is the state of being fully prepared and willing to act in the face of any number of events, and is a necessary attribute to embrace the interconnected challenges and opportunities faced by humankind and our planet. Moreover, readiness is not only about responding effectively to risk and disruption but also about recognizing and capturing emerging opportunities with confidence and speed.

Leaders require intelligent tools to converge and generate intelligence so they can see, solve, and operationalize de-risked investments, environments, policies, and other related decisions.

RUNWITHIT Synthetics supports readiness with innovative, augmented intelligence tools. Our high-fidelity, 6D sandboxes energize solutionaries to activate better futures with Synthetic Intelligence.

Readiness also applies to our ability to adopt disruptive innovation across sectors. At the recent Alberta Aviation, Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Summit, RUNWITHIT won the "Rapidly Enabling and Advancing Disruptive Innovation" READI Award. We demonstrated how our sovereign, world-class technology advances readiness in the defence and infrastructure sectors.

This recognition was on the heels of Prime Minister Carney’s announcement earmarking $40 billion to better equip Canada’s north for resilience and defence, with projects ranging from military upgrades at forward operating locations in Yellowknife, Inuvik, and Iqaluit to major infrastructure investments in airports, highways, and hydro-electricity.

Our sovereign artificial intelligence engine, INFLECTOR AI, converges complex investment and infrastructure data with our agentic, intelligent Synthetic Populations, enabling faster scenario testing, improved project alignment, increased transparency, higher trust and engagement, and a higher ROI on capital investment.

Moreover, Synthetic Canada enables leaders to dial forward into the future, supporting their readiness with practical insights into how major projects will impact affordable housing, economic and job growth, incomes, and precarity. Decision-makers are also empowered to assess how these investments and assumptions will withstand changing climates and unprecedented events across regional, national, and international contexts.

Enabling Readiness for Complex Climate Futures

The growing demand for RWI's readiness intelligence, from supporting cold-snap preparedness in Nashville to electrification demands in Calgary, was underscored on May 19 when it was announced that RWI had been selected as one of nine companies in the inaugural MaRS Adaptech Accelerator 2026–2027 cohort.

This accelerator is designed to help ventures expedite the development of climate change adaptation and resilience solutions, which is an ongoing primary application of RWI’s technology: simulating interventions over time and supporting ongoing decisions.

MaRS Adaptech’s two-year program will support RWI and 8 other solutionary leaders in helping Canadians prepare for, prevent, respond to, and recover from the impacts of climate change.

“There is no better time in Canada than now to understand the return on resilience that Adaptech offers. It is part of rising to the challenge posed by climate change and taking a risk with disruptive innovation to mitigate risks in unpredictable futures. We look forward to working with the MaRS Team, participants, and partners to get ahead when it matters the most.”

The Readiness Gap; Where
Perception and Reality Diverge

How do we converge, generate and present data to underscore the need for readiness in the face of apathy?

Even as evacuations occur across Canada this year, two out of three Canadians aren’t concerned about wildfires. In response to a Canada-wide survey conducted by Léger, 61% of respondents answered that they were “not at all” or “not very” concerned about wildfires.

In contrast, we can see in Synthetic Canada that just over 27 million people live in wildland-urban interface (WUI) areas, which are at high risk of wildfires; that’s 57% of the Synthetic Population living in areas where the built environment borders forests or grasslands.

Decision-makers require data-backed tools to achieve readiness and reduce the immediate and long-term impacts of disasters by building awareness, planning collaboratively with government agencies, stakeholders, and community groups ahead of climate events, and accelerating the return-to-normalcy process in their wake.

RWI Launches Synthetic Lab in Partnership with the FAMILYPSYCLE® Institute

RWI’s readiness capabilities are not limited by sector or industry. The convergent nature of our 6D sandboxes transforms systems-of-systems into clear pathways towards readiness and implementation.

RWI recently announced the soft launch of the Synthetic Waterloo Intelligent Futures Technology (SWIFT) Hub, led by Dr. Dillon Browne, Founder & Director of FamilyPsycle®, located at the City of Kitchener’s SDG Idea Factory.

SWIFT is an open, university-wide convergence hub that brings together researchers, students, industry, and community partners to explore complex “what-if” scenarios using AI, synthetic data, and digital twin simulation. From mental health and workforce development to housing, climate, infrastructure, and economic systems, SWIFT enables users to model, test, and make-ready solutions before implementing them in the real world.

“Our corporate vision and philosophy, along with our fondest wishes, lie at the centre of this launch - to ensure that the best ideas, research and knowledge can be seen by many, that the relationship between ideas converging across disciplines and generations is visible and tangible, and that the resultant sharing translates directly into beneficial impact for many communities and future generations.”

Tomorrow’s Readiness Starts Today

At RUNWITHIT Synthetics, readiness is timely, accessible, and practical as we continue to transform complexity into actionable intelligence.

Whether it’s defence infrastructure in the north, wildfires across Canada, or health systems globally, we’re converging to generate accessible, clarifying, and data-backed intelligence required to inform sustainable, resilient, and inclusive futures.

We’ve delivered keynotes at technical conferences such as the World System Integrator Conference (WSIC), and our defence applications were featured at the Alberta AAD Summit and Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, alongside representation in the Edmonton Region Defence Alliance.

We've helped shape the future of municipal intelligence through engagements at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Conference and Tradeshow and a keynote presentation at the Rural Municipalities of Alberta RiskPro Communities symposium.

As we move into summer, RWI remains focused on enabling readiness, challenging assumptions about AI, helping leaders navigate unprecedented complexity, and building stronger futures for all.

RUNWITHIT Synthetics works to create visibly better futures by modelling and visualizing interconnected and interdependent systems. The most important of these are our connections with the Land and with each other. Globally, and for time immemorial, Indigenous Peoples have cared for and stewarded the Lands, so that each of us today can benefit from all the gifts the Land provides. We acknowledge the First Peoples who continue to live in kinship with the Land and demonstrate to others the importance of reciprocity, so that we may all create and share in an abundant world. We acknowledge the impact our decisions have on all of our living relatives, past, present and future, and our role in preserving and improving our world for all those yet to come.
